What do you love about MIC?

We love the focus on child-led learning that Montessori encourages and MIC has been an amazing experience for our daughter so far – she absolutely loves coming each day and is thriving. We love the community feel of MIC and the friendly atmosphere that our daughter is learning in.

What year did you join the MIC parent community?

We joined MIC in 2021 when our daughter joined prep. I became a Parent Ambassador in 2022.

How would you best describe your role as a Parent Ambassador?

A bridge between the staff and parents – to ensure our community continues to grow and we all contribute and participate in events and initiatives that help our children to have positive experiences and opportunities for connection and fun.

What’s your favourite thing about your role as Parent Ambassador?

I love to facilitate opportunities for the children to meet outside of school and create deeper social and emotional bonds with other families and peers, so having regular catch ups is a priority for us. I also love being able to help new parents feel welcome when they join MIC. Many families do not have family support nearby, so I believe it’s really important that we create a family-like environment where the children really get to know their classmates – having fun outside of school is really important to us.
