Why are you involved with Montessori education?

I was first introduced to the philosophy of Montessori education when deciding where to place my son for his Prep year in 2019. Having been an educator with 14 years teaching experience at secondary and tertiary levels, I have found that my own educational pedagogy and philosophy aligns with the Montessori philosophy. I strongly believe in the unparalleled value of a student-centered, student-directed and inquiry-based approach for effective teaching and learning.

I see my role as a guide, a supporter and a facilitator to the learning journey of each student I teach.

What’s your favourite thing about your role?

The favourite thing about my role is having the privilege to play a part in positively influencing the future generation.
