Why are you involved with Montessori education?

I find the Montessori teachings and philosophies align with my personal values on educating children. The holistic vision of education allows the children’s natural desire to learn and excel in a wonderful environment. The Montessori approach via freedom and choice allows the children to learn and develop as an individual and reach their greatest potentials, which I find is a great concept.

How would you describe what you do?

I spend my time in the classroom helping support and assist the Guide to have a smoothly run learning environment. I get to work closely with the students, encouraging them and supporting them on their learning journey.

What is your favourite thing about your role?

I love helping the children achieve their goals. They are developing essential skills to take them on a lifelong journey. Seeing their enthusiasm for knowledge and learning is incredible. Multi-age learning is fantastic. I enjoy seeing the children form wonderful friendships.
