A Mother, Artsy and Mentor. I have worked as an Education Assistant for 10 years on the Sunshine
Coast, whilst studying various courses in between. A love for nature, time with family and creative
projects.

Why are you involved in Montessori education?

Montessori education philosophy resonates with my personal values/beliefs of nurturing the whole
child for positive learning and development.

How would you describe what you do?

With a genuine care for children’s well-being, I offer gentle, encouraging and positive support to
each Individual learner, based on what is required. I assist the guide and specialists with daily
activities.

What is your favourite thing about your role?

The MIC collaborative learning community is joyful and rewarding to be part of.
Observing collaborative learning groups, sharing ideas, excitement for learning, team work and pride
in efforts. I love to see students positive interactions with one another and problem solving
individually and in groups in various environments (within the classroom, outdoors and within
specialist classes).
