We are delighted to announce the arrival of Chris Peach, our new Principal.

Chris joins MIC from Brisbane Montessori School, where he has led with distinction and a deep commitment to authentic Montessori principles. With a strong background in leadership, curriculum development, and community engagement, Chris brings more than just experience—he brings heart, vision, and a shared belief in education as a transformative journey for children and young people.

Chris said he was excited to connect and get to know the children, adolescents and families at the College.

‘Through experience, I know that we see the best Montessori outcomes when school and home align, and I look forward to walking alongside our community as we support each child’s unique growth and development,’ he said.

‘Of utmost importance in my educational philosophy   is maintaining a high-quality and authentic Montessori environment—one where our young people are empowered to flourish with confidence, curiosity, and compassion,’ said Chris.

Kate Hemat-Siraky, Chair of the MIC Board, shared the community’s excitement about the appointment.

We are thrilled that someone of Chris’s calibre is joining us to take MIC into the next stage of our growth and development. The recruitment process attracted exceptionally talented Montessori-trained education professionals and Principals from all across Australia, and Chris stood out for his warmth, leadership and strategic insight,’ she said.

‘Chris’s family will join the MIC community – making this move not just professional, but deeply personal. The Sunshine Coast is lucky to have attracted such strong talent and a lovely family back ‘home’.

‘In particular, we look forward to Chris bringing his passion for being hands-on in the classroom, continually improving and lifting the standards of Montessori   training across our talented team, and bringing our strategic plan to life —including exciting capital works already in the pipeline with a refreshed Master Plan for the College,’ said Kate.
